ABOUT GENEVA HYDRAULIC

DAN DUNCAN - FOUNDER/CEO

30 YEARS OF SERVICE.

It all began in the early spring of 1991...

It all began in the early spring of 1991. Geneva Steel had reopened and had a bright future with the backing of the Cannon brothers and some wealthy investors. I saw both the need and a great opportunity to start a fluid power business here. Having grown up in Utah County, and after commuting north every day for five years, I was ready to focus on the hydraulic industry within it. After some discussion with my wife, she finally said; "It's in the Geneva area, so it should be called Geneva Hydraulics." Sometimes the obvious answers are the best, and Geneva Hydraulics was born. Bill Whitehead was our first employee and shortly after, Ed Farr would become my business partner until his retirement at the end of 2016, whereupon he sold his share of the company to Clayton Cook and my son, Jesse Duncan.

Our philosophy is to keep it simple and do what we tell our clients we will do. We've been through a lot over the years and focusing on our relationships with our customers and friends has helped us grow into the business we are today. My goal is to continue to grow Geneva Hydraulics, Inc. by helping other companies grow and be successful. With a little luck, and a lot of hard work, I hope that my posterity can be a part of the fun that I've experienced in the Fluid Power Industry.
